Richard Hart was an American actor born on August 31, 1915 in New Freedom, Pennsylvania. He studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City and began his career on stage, performing in various Broadway productions. He made his film debut in the 1940 movie "Tom Brown's School Days" and went on to appear in several other films such as "Greenwich Village", "Dragon Seed", and "The Hour Before the Dawn".
Hart was known for his good looks and charming personality, which made him a popular leading man during the 1940s. However, he tragically died at the age of 35 due to a heart attack while filming "The Story of Dr. Wassell" in early 1946. The film was completed using doubles and editing techniques to replace Hart's scenes.
